Too much music sounds the same.

Same presets, same references, same processing chains. The tools are more accessible than ever, and somehow everything is starting to blend together.

Identity Through Sound is a workshop about breaking that pattern. We will explore sound design and processing techniques that give music its personality, exploring what actually makes a sound feel like yours and not like everyone else’s.

Using Alfonsvs and Rave Child as live reference points, two projects that share DNA but take very different approaches, we will look at how intention shapes sound. Where one is more direct, sensitive, and raw, the other goes darker, more layered, more elaborate. Same person. Same tools. Different voice.
