Moon Story (Chinese title: ăĺ¨ćĺ°éé ă) is a poignant contemporary drama presented by Sardine Theatre (ć˛ä¸ĺĺ ´) that explores the human condition at the edge of existence.
When the end of the world arrives, is all we can do wait? On a deserted station platform, a man and a womanâcomplete strangersâcross paths. Though they occupy the same physical space, they are each lost in their own worlds of worry, memory, and future-induced anxiety.
As trains fail to arrive, communication with the outside world vanishes, and even the exits are mysteriously sealed, the platform transforms into a "modern tomb" for the soul. Through a series of raw and absurd dialoguesâranging from the sudden death of a colleague to dreams of escaping to Japanâthe two begin to acknowledge each other's presence. In the simple act of touching fingertips, they search for an exit or a reason to exist within their confined reality.
