Get ready to rock out live as the city's top emerging talents face off for the ultimate crown at The Aftermath's Battle of the Bands Finals!

For the past four years, beloved Central live music venue The Aftermath has hosted this annual talent search, inviting new and established acts alike to battle it out onstage. After three tightly contested heats, four finalists have been named to perform in the 2026 grand final:

• Midnight Overdrive
• Misty Blue Banana
• The Gurling
• The Proxies

These four bands will be pulling out all the stops to rock the crowd and impress the expert judges. But the judges aren't the only ones with a say—as an attendee, you hold the power to be the fourth judge with a special vote that could decide the winner!

Adding to the excitement, the night features a headline guest slot from last year's champions, the post-punk provocateurs Houseplants.

This event is a cornerstone of The Aftermath's “Hong Kong We Need You” campaign, a month-long programme of special events dedicated to supporting the venue. Come down, hear the city's most promising new acts, and help ensure this vital cultural hub sticks around for years to come.
