GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR CUSTOMERS LISBON DANCE SUMMIT, LDA

These General Terms and Conditions were last updated and apply as of [insert date, e.g., January 2026]. They are registered/filed as required under Portuguese law.
Article 1. Definitions
Event: The annual Lisbon Dance Summit, including the conference program (professional panels, talks, networking), brand activations, masterclasses, and the festival component with electronic music performances, showcases, and related activities organized by or on behalf of LISBON DANCE SUMMIT, LDA.
LDS: Lisbon Dance Summit, LDA (hereinafter “we”, “us”, or “LDS”).
LDS Marks: All trademarks, logos, designs, names, website layouts, and other distinctive signs owned or controlled by LDS related to the Event.
Conference: The professional daytime program of the Event, accessible primarily to Delegates, featuring industry discussions, networking, and sessions at various venues in Lisbon.
Agreement: Any contract (direct or indirect) between LDS and the Customer concerning the purchase of Products and/or attendance at the Event.
Customer: Any natural person (consumer) or legal entity purchasing Products or attending the Event via our online shop or related channels.
Delegate: A professional attendee registered for and purchasing access to the Conference (e.g., via a Conference Pass).
Festival: The evening/night program (Festival) is open to Delegates and general Visitors, featuring showcases, DJ sets, and performances at various Lisbon venues, often organized with external promoters. Access requires separate tickets and is not included in Conference or Delegate pass fees.
Products: Items or services sold by LDS, including but not limited to Conference Passes, Festival Tickets, merchandise, packages, etc.
Promoter: Third-party organizer responsible for a specific showcase or Festival event.
Showcase: A performance or event within the Festival organized by a Promoter.
Ticket/Pass: Digital or physical entitlement (e.g., barcode, e-ticket, wristband after exchange) granting access to part(s) of the Event.
Visitor: Any natural person attending the Festival or other open parts of the Event in a non-professional capacity.
Wristband: Physical access device (often RFID-enabled) issued after registration/validation, required for entry to certain areas.
Article 2. Applicability
2.1 These terms apply to all offers, purchases via the Online Shop, and Agreements with LDS. They also cover sales through authorized ticketing partners.
2.2 For Festival Tickets or individual Showcases, the contract is between the Customer and the relevant Promoter; LDS acts only as facilitator/intermediary and is not party to that agreement. Promoter terms apply additionally. Hotel/accommodation bookings follow the hotel’s terms.
2.3 Read these terms carefully before ordering.
2.4 Customer’s own general terms are excluded unless LDS expressly accepts them in writing.
2.5 LDS may update these terms; check the Website regularly for changes. Significant updates will be notified where possible.
Article 3. Ordering and Registration
3.1 To purchase via the Online Shop, register with accurate details (full name—not stage name, valid email, phone, address). Update changes promptly via email to hi@lisbondancesummit.com.
3.2 For passes bought for others (e.g., Delegates), provide complete/accurate third-party info. Identity checks may occur at registration.
3.3 LDS may restrict bulk orders per person/address.
3.4 By ordering, you authorize LDS to verify identity, payment method, and card validity.
Article 4. Offers, Conclusion of Agreement, Payment
4.1 Offers and prices are indicative and non-binding until confirmed. Errors/omissions do not bind LDS. Prices exclude VAT/fees unless stated.
4.2 Orders require LDS approval and depend on availability.
4.3 Order confirmation email is receipt only—not acceptance. Agreement forms upon successful payment/approval and/or Product delivery. Risk transfers to Customer upon dispatch or digital delivery.
4.4 LDS may reject orders (e.g., payment issues, stock shortages, suspected misuse).
4.5 Payment due immediately via indicated methods. Late payment incurs statutory interest and collection costs; LDS may deny access/Wristband until paid. Invoices (exceptional) due within 14 days pre-Event.
4.6 For Festival/Showcase access, LDS is intermediary only.
Article 5. Privacy
5.1 We collect necessary data (name, email, etc.) to fulfill orders, deliver access, and manage the Agreement. Delegate details may be shared limitedly among Delegates for networking. Anonymized attendance data (via Wristband check-ins) helps improve the Event and verify obligations. Non-anonymized use requires consent.
5.2 Processing follows our Privacy Policy (available on the Website) and GDPR. Contact hi@lisbondancesummit.com for questions.
5.3 By agreeing/attending, you consent to processing per our Privacy Policy. Under-16s require parental awareness/consent.
Article 6. Online Shop Security
We use secure payment processors (e.g., encrypted HTTPS) and authentication to protect transactions and data.
Article 7. Returns, Refunds, and Cancellations
7.1 Non-ticket Products returnable within 14 days (statutory cooling-off for consumers) if unused/original packaging. Email hi@lisbondancesummit.com for assistance. Tickets/Passes non-refundable by nature.
7.2 Conference Passes: Cancellable up to 30 days before Event start via written request; refund of pass price minus €25 handling fee. No refunds after that.
7.3 Returned items must be unused/unworn. Refunds exclude shipping/fees.
7.4 Conference Passes are personal/non-transferable post-purchase; registration requires ID.
Article 8. Delivery and Access
8.1 Risk passes to Customer on dispatch/digital provision.
8.2 Conference access requires personal Wristband after ID validation/registration. Wristbands non-transferable.
8.3 Delivery times indicative; no liability for minor delays unless grossly negligent.
Article 9. Tickets and Access Rules
9.1 Tickets remain LDS/Promoter property; grant personal entry only.
9.2 Conference/Global access personal/non-transferable.
9.3 Buy only via official channels for validity.
9.4 “Full is full” policy—no guaranteed entry if venue capacity reached. No refunds for denied entry, loss, non-use.
9.5 Age restrictions apply (check per event); under-16s may be denied.
9.6 Resale or commercial exploitation of Tickets is prohibited. Violation results in immediate Ticket invalidation, denial of entry (no refund), and a contractual penalty of up to €5,000 per Ticket plus up to €1,000 per day for continuing breach. Resale above face value may also constitute a criminal offence under Portuguese law (speculation, Decree-Law 28/84).
9.7 Respect LDS Marks/intellectual property; no unauthorized use.
Article 10. Changes, Cancellation, Relocation
11.1 LDS may modify Event. Full cancellation of Conference/Event: Refund pass price (minus fees) on written request/Wristband return within 6 weeks. Festival terms per Promoter.
11.2 Customer responsible for checking updates. LDS not liable for notification failures.
11.3 Relocated events: Tickets usually valid; check with LDS/Promoter.
Article 11. Liability
12.1 No liability for changes/cancellations, third-party acts, loss/theft, unless intent/gross negligence.
12.2 Direct damage only if attributable; capped at Product price or insurance payout (lower).
12.3 Indemnify LDS for third-party claims from your breach.
Article 13. Force Majeure
LDS excused from performance during events beyond control (e.g., strikes, weather, pandemics, government measures, supplier failures).
Article 14. General
14.1 No unauthorized recordings.
14.2 By attending, consent to LDS recordings/use of image/voice worldwide/indefinitely (no compensation). Video surveillance for security.
14.3 No unauthorized promotion/distribution at venues.
Article 15. Applicable Law and Disputes
15.1 Governed by Portuguese law.
15.2 Disputes exclusive to courts of Lisbon district.
15.3 Consumers may use EU ODR platform or Portuguese consumer arbitration if applicable.
